Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS) is one of the largest universities in the eastern part of Indonesia. It is located in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Unhas was established on September 10, 1956. It is named after Sultan Hasanuddin, a former King of the Gowa Kingdom.

UNHAS has 335 Professors and 1060 Doctors with almost 35,000 active students, more than 5000 are graduate students. UNHAS is ranked 1001-1200 in QS World University Rankings, ranked 351-400 in  Asia University Rankings, and ranked 7 in Indonesia Higher Education Clasterization by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.

Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS) International Programs

UNHAS offers international and regular undergraduate programs for non-Indonesian nationalities. UNHAS uses English as the delivery language in the International programs and Indonesian in the regular.

Important Information

We recommend you ask the administrator of each program about all the details since not all important information is available online in English. Do call or text or email the admin about your questions or inquiries. The preferred tool is using WhatsApp, social media account, and email. Be prepared to have an admin who is not fluent in English, so speak slowly and clearly. Combine the communication with written format to avoid misunderstanding as far as you can.

Bear in mind that all Indonesian higher education institutions are able to accept international students in programs outside the ones labeled as "international programs." That means that those regular programs are held in Indonesian language, and all international students should have sufficient language capability to enter the program.
