UII encourages outbound mobility exchange programs for UII active students to study in one of its global partner universities and prepare them to join the global community. The international mobility program, either joint/double degree or semester exchange program allows students to gain international experience and receive semester credit toward their degree when studying in a partner university.
Currently, UII only provides Joint/Double degree programs, meaning the study is divided into two parts, the first one is in UII (using both Indonesian and English language), and the rest is in partner institutions (full in English). This international mobility program will also encourage students to raise their level of confidence, broaden their knowledge, be more independent, and expand their worldwide network. The program offers UII students the opportunity to continue their study in partner universities abroad with the following scheme to choose:
- 3 years in UII and 1 year in UII partner university abroad (3+1)
- 2 years in UII and 2 years in UII partner university abroad (2+2)
- 2 years in UII and 1.5 years in UII partner university abroad (21.5)
- 1 year in UII and 1 year in UII partner university abroad (1+1)
As for Doctoral programs, UII does not provide them in specifically designed International Program in English. However, international students could apply in regular programs taught in the Indonesian language

We recommend you ask the administrator of each program about all the details since not all important information is available online in English. Do call or text or email the admin about your questions or inquiries. The preferred tool is using WhatsApp, social media account and email. Be prepared to have an admin who is not fluent in English, so speak slowly and clearly. Combine the communication with written format to avoid misunderstanding as far as you can.
Bear in mind that all Indonesian higher education institutions are able to accept international students in programs outside the ones labeled as "international programs." That means that those regular programs are held in Indonesian language, and all international students should have sufficient language capability to enter the program.
