Universitas Udayana (UNUD) established on 29 September 1962, is the first and the oldest university in Bali. The university has two campuses. One is located in the heart of Bali Province, Denpasar, and the other, including its main office or rectorate, is located in the center of Indonesia’s International Tourism Business Area, Bukit Jimbaran Bali.
Udayana University has 13 faculties with 58 Diploma and Undergraduate Study Programs, 43 Master/Specialist Study Programs, and 11 Doctoral Study Programs. These 112 programs are supported by various education service centers and equipped with high-quality facilities and academic infrastructures.
Today, approximately 28,353 students are coming from different regions in Indonesia and about 1,500 international students are coming from varied regions around the world (such as Europe, America, Asia, and Australia).
UNUD is creating interesting international programs for foreign students. It is opening Bali, one of the pieces of heaven on earth, for studying in "paradise." Yes, Bali is not just about tourism and leisure, but also about education.
UNUD provides Undergraduate and Postgraduate Study Abroad Program for foreign students. With its tropical learning environment, Bali’s Udayana University is very popular among international students. This program brings a very special cross-cultural learning experience. Team skills are promoted through up-to-date focus-oriented projects. English language skills are necessary because all lectures are given in English. Outside the campus, a range of joint activities and excursions are provided to spice up the experience.
Bachelor and gap year students from all over the world are welcome to attend one or two semesters of the GoBali Undergraduate program. It is open for any interested student, whether high school graduates, gap year students, or enrolled students at a university or college. An application regardless of the major is possible and common. Diverse options give added convenience and flexibility in course selection.

The postgraduate program is open for postgraduate students or graduated professionals who like to advance their careers. A first-level university degree is required for admissions. There are 6 different courses available to choose from.

This study abroad program is held in Udayana University Jimbaran Campus. Established in 1986, the Jimbaran Campus is the youngest and largest campus of UNUD. In addition to the Rectorate, the campus houses an international hospital, university library, sports center as well as numerous faculties, local and international programs.

We recommend you to ask the administrator of each program about all the details since not all important information is available online in English. Do call or text or email the admin about your questions or inquiries. The preferred tool is using WhatsApp, social media account, and email. Be prepared to have an admin who is not fluent in English, so speak slowly and clearly. Combine the communication with written format to avoid misunderstanding as far as you can.
Bear in mind that all Indonesian higher education institutions are able to accept international students in programs outside the ones labeled as "international programs." That means that those regular programs are held in Indonesian language, and all international students should have sufficient language capability to enter the program.
